Mozilla Releases Firefox 14, Improve Security Features And Support Web Application

It's exactly one moth since Mozilla's last release of Firefox (13). Guess what? Mozilla has released Firefox 14, already. The new Firefox 14 is upgraded with new security and developer friendly features. And, there is something for Mac users too. Overall, the new Firefox promises to deliver more security to end users, make web application support more robust, and make the developers happy.

Firefox 14 comes with Google’s secure search feature enabled by default. That is, everything you search on Google will be served through HTTPS encryption. Whether, you are browsing the web at the comfort of your home or office, or sitting in a public café network administrator won’t be able to pry on you again. Although, Google is the only provider allowing Firefox encrypt searches, the developer team is considering to expand the feature to other search engines in future.
Firefox 14 has added another security feature for the users. It will show whether a website’s identity is verified or not in an easily visible format.
Developers have something to be happy about too. Firefox 14 adds support for Pointer Lock API. This would allow better experience and control when playing online games. Native fullscreen mode is also added for OS X Lion 10.7 to offer better viewing experience of videos and better playing experience for games.
